Parameterization of Tall Buildings

This developed algorithm is constructed to acquire particular rules strategy of tall building design. It consists of geometric design components, which are used in automation of design variations, where criteria, assumptions, and values are established. The developed generative algorithm presents a method for exploring multiple aspects of tall buildings design in terms of internal and external generators. It delineates architectural design integration with aerodynamic modifications,…

Rhino CPlane in Wrong Position

Hey,

By now, I am sure you've noticed that I am a novice and very new to Rhino and Grasshopper - three blog posts already!

Anyway, I've got this problem which I really cannot seem to solve. I attended the Intro to Grasshopper Webinar with David Rutten on Thursday 9th of December. There, he showed an example of how to project section planes into a building. Now, I am trying to do the exact same thing.

In his case, one of the corner of his building touched…

Is it possible to make TriGrid assign onto a curved surface?

Hi, I have a question regarding the component 'TriGrid' (Triangular Grid).

I made a shading system by using TriGrid, however, I couldn't figure it out how to assign it into my building on a curved surface.

Is there anyone who knows how to do it?

Thank you very much for your help!…

GH Webinar - GH Plug-in Development in C#

Just a little blatant self promotion :)

If you have a basic knowledge of working with C# scripts in Grasshopper but want to take it to the next level and start building your own GHAs, you may be interested in the webinar I'm teaching tomorrow for performance.network. We will go through the basics of plug-in development - the structure of the code, how to get data in and out of a component, and the debugging…

Proving Ground Conduit

Proving Ground has just released Conduit, an open-source Grasshopper plug-in for data visualization and creating heads up displays. There you'll find a "click-once" installer, which should load it up onto your machine.

For now, its features include a number of simple chart types (including…

c--c | glass with a twist

c--c

During the last year we have developed a building component which helps constructing curved walls from glass. Essentially we have enhanced the profile of channel glass – a rolled glass product which is in production since decades. The new shape makes brittle glass fit for any sort of curve.…

A Simple simple Grasshopper-OpenOffice connector component

Well... as part of learning is also showing and discussing, I have uploaded this chunk of code that actually works.

It came out from the idea of developing an example where the theoretical capabilities of programming with Visual Studio/SharpDevelop over the VB/C# IDE provided in GH would become somewhat more obvious.

However, in this very example the result is quite the opposite, as the imported references (one thing that is not possible to do using the VB component), are not…
