If one wants to try and fiddle with making custom components in Visual Studio C#, do you have any template projects for setting that up?! Or any guidelines or references one can look into!?
It would be a great help to have some working C# project example. Like being able to look into the source of one of the simple components like line by two points?!
Do you think you could find time to supply somthing like that?! cheers / Jes
Just know that any components you write for Grasshopper 0.6 will no longer work in 0.7. And we'll probably break the SDK again, and again before we reach 1.0.
I Think that many of us would just like to play with it. It doesn't matter too much if it breaks on the next version. It is just a Way of exploring....
i found rhinoscripting to be a little more flexible in certain areas than grasshopper.
so i was curious if Grasshopper 0.7 would have input nodes to bridge that gap.
No. Rhinoscript is a completely separate technology the relies on object being accessible in the Rhino document. GH keeps all of its geometry separate from the document until baked, so at that level they are fundamentally incompatable. Not to mention there's several other reasons why they can't work together as well.
