Export to file component - parameters

Comment by retroagentHi Ramon, Thanks again for the add-on. I've been using the export objects component especially, which I've had the best success exporting multiple geometries to a single file and including textures. One issue I've come across is that with the extension set to .obj, the rhino command line still spits out "Choose meshing option ( DetailedOptions PolygonDensity=50 ):" which requires a manual selection. Issuing a -_Export manually first and re-running the script has no change.…See More

AutoGraph

AutoGraph is a suite of tools that will help you organize the objects on your Grasshopper canvas. The main feature is a visual graph layout algorithm editor that will automatically arrange the objects on your canvas based on a set of parameters.Further to that, it offers functionality to insert generic description parameters in between components, in order to neatly route the wires in your definition. It can be downloaded here.See More

Custom goal to snap beyond a collision particle

Hi.I have a simple problem that I can't seem to get to work. I need 2 points to maintain a minimum distance from each other, and move only on the Y-axis. One point should be fixed and one point can move. However, the trick is: if the floating point is within the critical distance to the fixed point, it should always move down, beyond the fixed point and then aim for the minimum clearance. <edit> See the illustration below. The last part, I cannot figure out, even with a custom goal.…See More

Fabrication modeling for cladding panels of double curved exoskeleton structure

Our team is wrapping up fabrication modeling for cladding panels of a double curved exoskeleton structure of a large hotel/casino in Asia.

The entire model was generated by Grasshopper using our in-house developed "Elefront" plugin.

We have modeled roughly 24.000 unique panels including sub-framing, brackets, fasteners, joint covers etc.

Fabrication documentation went straight from the…
