Contemporary offices everywhere are leveraging associative design tools in actual built work. How it sells in the real estate market is a diff story though... How could commercial offices benefit from this in your opinion?

The output of the divide surface changed, it now outputs points in rows organized in a tree structure. If you want to mimick the output of the old, you will either need to use a flatten component on the output of the divide surface component, or fla…

From the param viewer output, use a shift list with the value set to -1...use that to rebuild the tree.

I would not call grasshopper 'stable,' though I suppose depending on the user, this is relative. In the 'production software' sense it is by no means stable. That being said, I don't remember GC being too solid either in the early days. Both program…

Weaverbird seems to be working fine on 0059. Make sure to dl latest version, and clean out any old versions.

for this particular case you could the following: use a path mapper with mask {0;0;A}(i) > {0;0;i}(A)

thanks for letting us know! Works very well. Hopefully I tighten down the OpenOffice version to clean itself up. Some tests to my class came back about 75% successful with some Vista Machines having some real issues!

there have been changes to the vb component...perhaps the scope changed...some things now need less detail of the namespace, others need more. But David would be the person to ask for the specifics of it. In older versions of the vb.net component th…

I just tried with: A = Math.Sin(x) into a vb component and it seemed to work fine.

how do you want to manipulate them?

It's pretty simple via udp... I'll try to post a sample...

Luis,

Por alguna razon (quizas evidente) haz sido una referencia frecuente en mis visitas al grupo de GH. On top of that acabo de recibir un correo invitandome a uno de tres de los workshops oficiales para Mcneel de LaN en Estados Unidos. Me da gusto verlo.

No voy a tus cursos pero ojala nos topemos mas pronto que no.

Mateo (ex colega, una generacion abajo, tuyo del DRL), just posting a friendly hello.

Hi Luis Fraguada, thanks for your great udp receiver! I adapted it, so that it receives lists of data, insted of single data items. This feature i used to track a motion path:

Alternate Interface: Control Grasshopper from iPod

Current exploration into alternative interfaces for presenting and interacting with associative models. Here we see two examples of communication from an iPod Touch 2g to McNeel’s Grasshopper plug-in for Rhino. This is made possible by Open Sound Control (OSC) and the User Datagram Protocol (UDP). In these examples, a Processing interface was utilized to show what was going on with the iPod during the screencapture. In Processing, Stephane Cousot’s UDP library was used, as well as Andreas Schleg… Continue
