Recreate the Villa Savoye using Rhino 3D

Hi guys!

I'm pleased to announce we have a new course out.

We're going to recreate the famous villa Savoye from Le Corbusier, a cornerstone project in the modern architecture movement in Rhino 3D.

After this course you will know how to model projects with simple geometry and have a better understanding of how to efficiently…

YOJU's software helps us to generate better modeling

Resently, YOJU (Beijing) Architecture Design co.,Ltd. has released several pieces of software programmed by a team led by Jin You, who is also an famous architect.

One of this software is called Parametric Control Based Architectural Lighting Calculator, and it helps architects to generate better modeling (like the rendering above).

Infinity tree, Bismuth Bivouac, Reflection - Burning Man 2015

Hi

We are three architecture students from design studio 10 at the University of Westminster London. We have been fortunate enough to receive partial funding from the black rock city honoraria to each bring a pavilion to life at this years burning man festival however to make these projects a reality we still need help. Over the past two years our design studio has successfully built three projects at the festival.

We are in the process of raising additional funds to help…

Multiple Curves as attractors on Surface

Dearest Community

I have a first result. It´s a bit tricky to load more and more curves into this definition, since you have to add a Minimum compontnt for every new curve to get the smallest distance between a curve and a Point, but thats work in progress, ain´t it?

The File and the File :-)…

Boolean diff between a cube and 20.000 cylinders - Computer crashes

Hello Community

I wanted to operate a Boolean Difference between this slat and aprox. 20.000 Cylinders for rendering purposes. But my Computer crashes evertime I select more than 50 Cylinders... Scripting seems no solution.

this is the script…

eCAADe 2015 - Workshops

We invite participants of the eCAADe 2015 conference to propose workshops on their current research. The workshops will be held on the 14th an the 15th of September 2015 at the Vienna University of Technology.

Workshops offer the possibilities to give participants a hands-on experience and, for the workshop leader, to have an intense discussion with a small group of people on their…

Pixels to Circles... plus "contrast" adjustment

Dearest Community

The "High-Res" Product from Grasshopper...

Next Step is a script to create a Slat with the holes in it. This means making a boolean difference of aprox. 60.000 circles(wich, before that, need to be extruded to Breps) and a Rect.Cube...…

New Twist on an Old Favorite - Co-de-iT's "Hexagonal Field"

Ability to place as many points as you'd like and designate them as attractors or repulsors, control minimum and maximum vector values per attractor/repulsor, and differentiate between resulting geometry by a length threshold. Repetitive node sequences captured as clusters. Works for any curve set with a consistent number of vertices per cell. Definition attached. For original Grasshopper 0.6 definition check out …
