algorithmic modeling for Rhino

How can I change this GH file to orient all of the squares upward?

The original surface has a certain wireframe and so the little squares curve with the curves of the wireframe. I am basically trying to make a grid shell with all of the squares evenly spaced and oriented upward. From the top view it should look like an even array or squares.

Thanks!

hard to see what your file looks like without the surface you are using. It's a good idea to also upload your rhino file.

From your description, one option would be to just take a rectangular grid and project from above to your surface, then take the vertices of the projected curves and recreate a quadrilateral.

Ok so I have the Rhino file here. I was able to create even perforations (without GH) but they all face up and that becomes a real problem toward the edges.

Rhino file here. I couldn't upload the version with the perforations because its too large but I took a snapshot.

Hi.

I can't quite understand what your description means, but according to the screencap,.. could this be an alternative?

Ok so I think these screenshots explain it better. I got the perforations to be evenly spaced- but the problem is that they are all oriented upward so it gets very messy towards the edges. I am trying to get them to wrap around the form and not just punch through it.
