algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to split/trim a surface with either curves or surfaces. All experiments thus far have crashed the university computers. Can you suggest the most effective technique.

I am trying to trim the rectangles from the sheet surface to be left with a surface with the rectangular grid cut out.

I don't think this should be so complicated but am have issues.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Doesn't look like it's crashing. Creating 2500 Surfaces just takes some time.

Trim solid won't do, waht you probably want. Ist meant to work with closed volumes and will fail on surfaces.

if you want to produce a planar, trimmed Surface with holes, feed a list of closed curves into BoundarySrf Component. Every curve fully enclosed within another curve will turn out to be a hole in the resulting Surface.

Hi Hannes,

Thanks for your explanation. At first i didn't quite understand it but now I got it working.

Great.

Cheers
