Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to make my lofts (originally gray) change color depending on a distance factor, the problem is that once the loop (with a hoopsnake component) has passed that point, the loft goes back to gray. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to make the lofts stay the color they were assigned even after the hoopsnake has finished.

Thank you so much! :)

Are you just trying to color things based on distance?

Yes,

based on a conditional statement, if the distance is less than 20, then it turns one color, if its greater then another

and looking at your def its not obvious but distance of what from what? You don't need hoopsnake for this.

Let me try to explain what I'm trying to do..

The lofts are selected at random through a random component and those are the ones that need to be measured. The distance that I need to compare is the distance between one of the lofts and the one closest to it , if the distance is greater than 20, then it should be green, if it is smaller, then it should turn pink.

I used the hoopsnake because I needed it to cover all of the lofts, and I couldn't find another way to do it... but I'm relatively new to grasshopper and I'm open for suggestions :)

Im not sure if I'm being clear..? And thanks so much for all your help
