Nest Multiple Components into One Repeatable "Function"?

Hi,

I've been on the discussion board for some time, but this is my first post.
Wonderful software and a wonderful community, glad to be a part of it!

Question:
Is there a way to nest multiple components into one component, essentially creating one single custom "function" component which can be repeated over and over?

I am aware of the group command, which is great.
However, if I have created one cluster of components which as a cluster has a certain function, and want to use that many times in different instances, having repeated groups of components all around the canvas becomes very cluttered and difficult to manage.

I have heard that the group command in the past may have had a "minimize" feature, which sounds like it closely approximates what I am looking for. (though controlled input parameters like a VB component would be ideal).
Does anyone know what happened to the minimize feature of the group function?

Otherwise, is there a way to take a group of components and distill its operation to VB script, so that it can be put into a VB component (ie - a possible workaround)?

Thanks!

The feature to which you are referring, clustering, is as I understand it currently being re-written. I too am anxiously awaiting the return of this functionality. In the mean time the best you can do is copy paste, copy paste... not especially elegant, but it works. I wonder if David or anyone in the know could elaborate on what changes are in store for this feature... some sort of code optimization? the ability to save useful clusters to the GH toolbar? That's my wishful thinking...
thanks for the links and comradery, seems like we'll be waiting for the functionality in a future release.
this would hugely improve grasshoppers workflow and managability, hopefully its on the front-burner :)
