"Heyho, Replying in an old thread because i kind of miss that option. It would be tremendously helpful to a lot of people i guess. I oftentimes deal with a single output of a few hundred shapes which reside in different tree nodes. Having an option…"

"I see the option you are talking about, which bakes the entire modules "contents" into one group. What I'm essentially looking for is something that would let you customize how the bake command groups, so you could group…"

David Rutten replied to john johanson's discussion Bake objects to mutliple individual Groups?
"If you bake individual components (or parameters) via the Component menu, you get a Bake dialog, which has a Grouping option. It may not exactly do what you need, but at least you'll be able to group some of the objects while baking. -- David…"

Bake objects to mutliple individual Groups?

Is there a method for baking objects into multiple individual Rhino Groups? Background:In my specific case, I am using grasshopper to diagrammatically model a forest. The trees are comprised of a cone primitive for a trunk and a lofted surface emulating the canopy.(See "trees.jpg" for example). In the final, there are thousands of trees so it is management heavy. When I bake the whole forest, it would ideal if it could be setup such that each "tree" came out as an individual rhino Group containing…See More

Nest Multiple Components into One Repeatable "Function"?

Hi, I've been on the discussion board for some time, but this is my first post.Wonderful software and a wonderful community, glad to be a part of it!Question: Is there a way to nest multiple components into one component, essentially creating one single custom "function" component which can be repeated over and over?I am aware of the group command, which is great. However, if I have created one cluster of components which as a cluster has a certain function, and want to use that many times in…See More
