- Structure type and number Tags (X1, X2, X3…)
- Tag size and position control.
- Spacing between structures (X&Y) and between structures gruops.

I will post a tutorial when I get it finished. :P

Here you are one shot of my first test with the previous version of my definition.

Impressive definition! Thank you so much for sharing your work - i'm sure it will be put to good use ;)
Hi Pablo,
The notches don't seem to be correctly cut out in the projected sections. I'm not sure how you end up with such a gigantic definition. Check the attached definition, i think it does more or less the same (maybe i missed something) plus builds the pieces in 3D.

Hopefully someone can make it even smaller (without scripting). I'm sure it's possible.

Thx Vicente,
I love your definition simplicity, but you make the notches using the midpoint (Z-axis) of the general bounding box and I think that´s not valid for all geometries.

I think my def is huge too, but I think it works almost fine. Tweaks are welcome! ;)

You are right, i only tested it with one object, so it probably has more shortcomings. I tried to change it so that each notch uses the midpoint of its corresponding section, but i cheated, i used a very small scripting component to flattens a list one path down.
Hopefully in the next release there will be more components for managing path structures.

How to use this definition in my car model ?

Hi Dragan,

First of all, you should have a unique solid model (watertitgh). Also my def works with brep/surfaces and not meshes (if you have one big mesh you can convert to polysurface).

Once you have this, load the definition (right click -> save as...) and set the geometry component to your brep (meshconverted).

For the test I have joined all meshes and then converted to polysurface. It doesn't work properly because the model is not watertight.

There is a great tutorial for watertight testing here.

Good luck!

THANKS. Now I'll try and publish the results.

hi pablo,

i can't get to open your new definition (3dslicer11.ghx)

i get the following message (sorry it's in italian):

'--' è un token imprevisto. Il toke previsto è '>'. Riga 21, posizione 3.

i m using GH 0.8.0004.

does anybody know why?

evisto. Il toke previsto è '>'. Riga 21, posizione 3.

Hi,

reSaved up in 0.8.0003. It totally works on 0.8.0004.

yeeeeah!

Hope you like it.
