Weaverbird is a topological modeler that contains many of the known subdivision and transformation operators, readily usable by designers. Instead of doing the work repeatedly, or sometimes using complicated scripts, this plug-in helps reconstructing shapes as meshes, subdivides and refines even polyline lists, and helps preparing the model for fabrication. Weaverbird is the first released addon for Grasshopper but the group is new, so please join it to participate in discussions, ask questions…See More
Allows the user to keyframe the animation of multiple objects in Grasshopper along a single slider. New version 0.7b allows you to export animation to 3D Studio for rendering. NEW Export to 3D Studio MAX COMPONENT!!!!See More
If you export as IGES (NURBS) you should be able to import NURBS surfaces in 3D studio MAX.
Well, maybe you don't need Grasshopper for this: if you use wisely the meshing algorithm in Rhino (i.e. tweaking number of…"
there are different softwares doing that, for example http://www.npowersoftware.com/ (i've never actually tried it )
or you can try exporting your model as *.IGES file wich gives the best results exporting nurbs surfaces…"
hi everybody,i have to convert a series of surfaces (a car body) into an efficient mesh that would not lose important details (like little fillets or little bumps) and would appear as continuous once smoothed (in 3dsmax). i thought an adaptive subdivision method would help in this case. do u know any method to suggest? any script? any definition?or otherwise a way to import rhino surfaces in 3dsmax as nurbs surfaces?thanx a lot in advancevittorioSee More
Hello everyone, this guy (Makoto Yabuki) is my hero today! his animations are superb... pure poetry... please have a look at some of his videos... i don't think he used grasshopper to generate those shapes but it doesn't matter actually! same aesthetics... i'm gonna watch them another time, hopefully i'll get some inspirations!
