Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hallo,

I am trying to bundle in grasshopper...

Could you help me with a  definition that gives the image attached as a result?

It is a kind of weaving between two systems. This is the simplest version...I am thinking also of variations in rotation-scale (according to a specific sequence) of the axis. Maybe I am doing something wrong with the lists as you can see at the grasshopper pt attached...

Thank you in advance.

Hello Chara,

what have you done so far?(definition or something). you need to build a definition that describes the skeleton and then use interpolate curve to the points that describe it, making sure they are in the correct order as numbered in the sketch.

cheers

Hello Chara,

I believe you can do something like this:

As Alex said (we posted at the same time):

"you need to build a definition that describes the skeleton(1) and then use interpolate curve to the points that describe it(2), making sure they are in the correct order as numbered in the sketch(3)."

Nikos,

I think that my mistake was to use lines and divisions instead of points... things are more clear now. Now...one more question:1. in case i want to make a gradual movement (scaling of the movement)in eg.x axis like the top-view attached , where should I intervene? It is about the rotational axis of the wrapping and I am interested in how it controls the whole thing.

Thank you for your time.

you can scale & rotate each "layer" of points separately by creating the desired values through a domain:

that was an amazing help for me.

Thank you :-)

Hi Chara - guys, here's my two cents. In the attachment there are 3 ways: almost what you described, what you described, and what I thought you would want. Feed each the nine points in the order you drew them in your image.

thank u Pieter :-)
