parametrically overwriting existing excel file program and automating "saveas"

I am working with an excel based energy modelling program and realized that while it is possible to write over the excel sheet, it is not possible to do iterations and export results from the excel…Continue

I have check to make sure the points and the list of obstacles match - they are at the same heights. Maybe I didn't quite grasp how isovist really works? If I had more time I would like to try to make…Continue

integrating integrated daylight and energy sim with Nat vent, light shelf, etc.

I am working with the integrated daylight and energy simulation plus light shelf and Nat Vent, and Galapagos. I have some technical questions, mostly about how the HBcomponents work. I find combining the daylighting and energy sim with Nat Vent create many complex questions.Daylighting :1. Adding shading to energy AND daylight simulation: Can I add HBconext to Honeybee_run daylight simulation HBobject input ?Looking at the results it seems like daylight simulation doesn't recognize HBcontext,…See More

"Hi Chung, I have to say I would suggest you start with simpler studies when getting into CFD. It is also recommended to try simple states of the same study first, then moving to more complicated designs. There were a few issues with your case. I…"

Ciao Youngjae, this is Patrick from Berlin. I just recently started to fiddle around with sound responsive geometry and would like to see your work. You're definitely right in assumptions about my preference in contemporary music :)  Well, I guess either Andy surprises us with a new year goody and improves firefly's capabilities or I might dig deeper into processing/vvvv which I was intending anyways. However, this is fun stuff besides the office here. Creative Regards and a good start into the new year to you. Pat
