To have a parametric form finding solution for membranes would be great. I recently worked with RhinoMembrane but this plug in is not very comfortable. If there would be a grasshopper solution it would change the design process for membrane…

not exactly,i enter a curve that is fixed in the two extremes, then give a weight, a maximun length and a rigid coefficient, then on each point calculate trough an iteration (variable) how the curves gets its own-form because of an equilibrium…

Hi Alejandro, this looks very interesting. Thank you for sharing. Can you explain a bit more what is happening in your definition? Are you creating a minimal surface between two splines?

Estoy creando un Script que permite automatizar la escritura en anillos de graduación. Ya esta funcionando, pero me gustaría terminar el proceso con un render del anillo.Veo que posiblemente GrassHopper tiene esa capacidad de automatizar el render. Ya lo tratamos de hacer con Vray, pero no encontramos los comandos del sdk que permitan avanzar en el script.El render que le envio es construido con V Ray de Matrix 3D que trabaja bajo Rhino. Lo que me gustaría tener es una base de como aplicar materiales usando grasshopper y asi poder seguir aprendiendo e investigando hasta lograr un buen render.Por su ayuda y colaboración muchas graciasAtentamenteJorge Sanchez
