Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I am trying to find a way to assign a code (in text) to components I have generated in Grasshopper

The trick is it needs to be single line text to work on the machine I have...and of course needs to be projected to the object surfaces I am working on...any ideas

Thanks

Do you have any single stroke fonts? The Rhino command "text object" allows for single stroke fonts. Currently the 3D Text Tag does the equivalent of the "text" command when baked into Rhino. With any specific plane it should place the text in whatever orientation you need it to be. You could eventually use a single stroke font with this and then explode it, but it will not be correct. So perhaps look for a way to automate the "text object" command.

Here is a link to some single stroke fonts: http://www.featurecam.com/general/support/engrave_fonts.asp (I think I have Damien to thank for this link...if I am not mistaken).
That's an excellent link, Louis!
Hi Luis,
