I am hoping someone can help me. I am working on a conceptual tower project and would like to figure out a way to create 2-story or random atrium spaces with in the tower. I am new to grasshopper, so this is real challenge. I am not sure whether this could be done through list items or what? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
This is downtown LA at the 10 and 110 interchange. I have a 3d model of it. I would like to randomly filter out floor plates to create the double height spaces.
Just over the interchange? I gave you the address for the lot next to it, so i was pretty close :) Whoever gave you that 3d model, he extracted it directly from Google Earth.
1. The multiply component should be a subtract component
2. Double click on the note pad connected to the 'S' input of the series component, deactivate "multiline data" and write one line containing "0", second line containing "1".
3. Right click on the 'L' input of the jitter component and select "flatten".
Well, they are used for different purposes. To do the same using the random component you'll need to create a list of random values that's the same size as the list of boolean values and sort that list with the boolean list synchronously. Using Jitter you use less components, and allows you to specify the Jitter amount.

Ah...
Thanks. I just haven't used Jitter much.
Speaking of less components (and while you're around...) can you by any chance enlighten me on the proper syntax for the SubString expression?
I think Andy was wondering too so if you have any ideas, reply to the discussion.
