erencing it back into our main .gh file works normally (with full functionality) as long as all the files are on my local hard drive (e.g. "C:"). But as soon as I try to reference a .ghcluster or even open one saved on an external drive (our company's network drive) Rhino and Grasshopper instantly freeze und crash. Every time. No matter the file size.
We have already checked, if maybe whitespaces or dots in the file's path could have caused the crashes. But even eliminating them by renaming the folders doesn't fix the problem.
So obviously GH's clusters does not support referencing files from external network locations. Does anyone have an idea why? Were stuck here, because we want to severely increase the complexity of our project's main gh. file and enable more team members to contribute to the main file via external referenced cluster files.
Thanks for your help.

een them to be adiabatic (at first. See later on for an alternative).
The whole process is fine/clear up to the solveAdjacencies: The walls are defined as "outdoors" and "surface" for the boundary conditions. So far so good.
Now i get to the HB_makeAdiabaticByType, and some issues appear (See A in the file).
Setting the interiorWalls to True doesn't change the condition from"surface" to "adiabatic" (A1 in file).
Setting the walls set both internal and external, to adiabatic (A2 in file). Is this supposed to work like this? Why the just the internal doesn't make the change?
In addition to this i'll appreciate your advice in the following. Let's say that i want the internal walls to be divided in 2 parts each. One should be adiabatic and the other "air wall". How do you recommend to do this? Is the modeling in the file correct, or i must do surface by surface?Or using the Decompose Honeybee Zone ...?
How can i retain the air walls and still use the makeAdiabaticByType component?
Thanks for your help!!

nts but as there are polylines and surfaces in it, they are conflicting as the geometries are overlapping and intersecting.
The input for the model is a centre point and four connecting points: we can call them CNT, A, B, C and D. The model works for these points - it's quite complicated with lots of polylines, vector geometry, surfaces, rotations, etc. - but it still works and has an output of two breps.
If I had a compilation of N sets of CNT, A, B, C and D's, is there a way of feeding each of these into the grasshopper in individual sets rather than just plugging in the huge set of numbers - e.g. feeding in CNT1, A1, B1, C1 and D1 and getting a result before moving on to CNT2, A2, B2, C2 and D2?
I've tried looking through tree structures, but it seems to be failing when the size of the set isn't known - e.g. how to extract all the information from trees when N isn't know using list item (i=0, i=1, i=2..., i=N).
I hope I've managed to explain the problem adequately, I can make up an easier to understand Grasshopper model later if I haven't explained well...
Thanks in advance for any comments, pointers, etc.…

I am no expert in this field; I would have to do research just like you. Maybe someone else on this forum has already done more work in this area, let's see. Or it might be you, the first one :)
This does not look like something completely at reach for someone with not much programming experience, but maybe with some guidance it could be doable.

EDIT: This link has a simple sine wave written from scratch. It might be a good start to mix with the code above and a playground to understand theory.

This is a standard mesh to nurbs conversion result: http://www.tsplines.com/j/subdtonurbs/MeshToNurbsBoatShell.png
You want to start with a proper mesh reparametrization:
http://www3.cs.stonybrook.edu/~gu/software/RiemannMapper/figures/ti...
Once you have your mesh reparametrized it's relatively easy to divide it into surfaces. That is the easiest approach but it doesn't take into account any features(creases etc)...
This illustrates a nice mesh parametrization with features.

EDIT:
Got a brief look at the Geomagic thingy... seems like it's a subd modeler (like tsplines). Creating nurbs out of subd meshes is easy cause you can basically trace back the subdivision. With Giulios help I was able to make a rough version of that process here: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/skeletal-mesh?commentId=2985220%3AComment%3A558193 ;
(the point is that subd meshes to nurbs are not as much challenging as mesh to nurbs).…
VIT also. That would be a paradigm shift to us.
I have been reading all af the trouble shooting forum/comment/instruction and I am pretty sure im doing right thing. only thing I cannot figure out is the placement of the files below.
I have been using mantis shrimp and am facing difficulty for reading .geo file. GH export seems to be fine. Dynamo side is not recognizing the .geo file somehow. my guess is the .py files are not correctly read. where do I suppose to store .py files above?
Please kindly advise me.
Many thanks.

le discontinuous list of index numbers and I'd like to be able to generate a set of domains where each span of numbers would have its own domain. For example:
This list: 5,6,7,8,9,22,23,24,25,26,77,78,79,80,81...
Would give these domains: 5 to 9, 22 to 26, 77 to 81...
I'm at a loss as to how I can achieve this though. I know I can use the bounds function on the list but that would give a single domain, not several. In case it helps the list in question was generated by a true/false cull pattern from the complete list of indices so simply determining the indices of the beginning and end of each chunk of 'trues' in the cull pattern would work as well as it would give the same domains. I can post an example file if anyone would like but I figure this is a pretty general issue.
So anybody have any ideas on how to solve this multiple domains from a single list problem? Thanks in advance for any help at all, I'd really appreciate it!
