For all those interested in environmental analysis, this webinar is a great opportunity to learn the workflow of Rhino to Ecotect through GECO.
The course is held June 3rd and 4th and will be tutored by [uto] Ursula Frick, Thomas Grabner and Allison Weiler.

The best solution for somebody who has this problems is to set the toggles manually and turn them on one by one whenever the component finished instead of using the automated way (this is also valid for solution taking longer than 5 minutes - internal time out)

Not sure what seems to be causing the problem.

It works perfectly at my place:

Change the Weather files according to the one you used, and try downloading the .3dm and .gh files from here:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Jacopo Baldini:
It seems this problem emerged before.
As Tomas, stated, uninstall your current Geco plugin. After that check your "Rhinoceros\Plug-ins\Grasshopper\Components" folder and delete any of remainders of Geco plugin (files named "Geco..."). Be sure to download the latest version of Geco from here. Install it.

@Elliot Glassman:
could you attach you definition?

Using the Insolation Calculations component... mesh exports and calculates in Ecotect perfectly. The problem is in returning the values to Grasshopper. The Insolation Component turns orange and tells me that the connection with Ecotect was not successful and if I am sure Ecotect is running, even though it is. D out put is Null.

Any idea what can be causing this? I am using the latest version, been successful at doing this in the past with Geco.

Hi,

I updated all the version of Rhino and Grasshopper but I still have problems with Geco.

I downloaded the last version of Geco but know this doesn't work with the Rhino5.0 only release...what does it mean?

How can I install the last release of Grasshopper without up-date Rhino5.0 at the last release too?

I'm a bit confused anyway I attached a screenshot for clarify everything...

Cheers..

please check and delete every version you may have there copied manually

C:\Users\YOURPROFIL\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries

than make sure you have geco version 1.0034 and as you can read in the notes of the download geco only works with GH09.0014 and higher.

best

Hi guys,

i'm running grasshopper 0.8.0066 on Rhino before the 2013 Geco was working properly but now doesn't wanna work anymore...

I downloaded the last version from Food4Rhino (gecoforgh_installer_v1.034_gh0.9.0014) but doesn't work something missing during the loading process...

What I should do? I already tried to upgrade grasshopper with the last version but doesn't work either.

Before I was usign GecoForGH_Installer_v1.030GH0.8.xxxx and now I just need a new license for that.

How can I fix the problem?

Cheers, Jacopo!
