algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I'm trying to create a 3D truss. So far I have one side of the truss, however I'm having problems skipping the points (they are encircled in red in the image) which are too close to the points which mark the change in direction. Could someone help? Attached is a zip file containing the .ghx and .3dm files. Thanks!

I can't really see what you are doing with the lower additional point (weave input 1)...

My guess is to "remove" the division points too close to your kink is a little too heavy to solve. I'd explode the polylines segments (here's where additional point my first remark might become a problem) and divide each individually. The number of division would be calculated from the segments lenght and a average division distance.

Distances will vary from segment to segment but divisions will be evenly spaced for the whole segment.

Your right! It's much easier that way. I'll have to see if I can get the part about the number of divisions right though.
