Hi, I am mapping the Gaussian curvature of a surface and because some of the values are completely off-scale I can't get a smooth gradient. Of course I can manually control the keys on the color…Continue

Rhino 101 Primer exercises

Hello,I am struggling a bit trying to learn a bit of Python. I have started with the Rhino 101 Primer but I am having difficulty with the exercises included in it. From around page 50 and forward the code of the exercises is trimmed to the focus of the subject. I guess it's easy to add the code that's missing, but I have no prior experience in programming and I can't get it to work. I have searched for a zip file containing the exercises but I couldn't find anything. If someone has the…See More

PQ Mesh Model B 01

"Hi Jesus, Thanks for your reply and for sharing the definition. I'm wondering if maybe there could be some interesting possibilities with a force-based way of spacing/aligning the curves, and looking at this could be useful. I'll let you…"

PQ Mesh Model B 01

"Yes I too used David's script. It's a real pain to obtain evenly spaced lines. I did it manually because this was just a side project and I think you need scripting skills to do it properly. Another problem is [quoted from David]: In…"

"@Daniel - this property of surface is just awesome. I made some of these lines with David Rutten's script (dont remember now where is it on the forum). The biggest problem is to generate them as equally spaced as possible... (Just in case…"

Jesus Galvez replied to James Schollum's discussion Curve point's 'strength'
"This is a practical solution, maybe it won't work for you. Try first averaging the points to get the barycenter. Then plotting lines from the barycenter to each point. Then evaluate the lines and finally to what Michael said with the evaluated…"

re zahner factory crawford architects, Thanks for your redirection to an earlier discussion, I had reviewed the suggestions made by Dedackelzucht and could make sense of the application. Is this the right direction to be heading?  The discussion seams to stop short of an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
