Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

A friend of mine asked for a way to bake objects with names. Taking inspiration from this thread (thanks Damien) I wrote a C# component that bakes with a string in the Rhino attribute "name".

See discussion and download.

This example also shows how to automatically name lists of objects, and should be capable of inserting most types of geometry from grasshopper into Rhino.

Great little definition there...Glad I could be of inspiration. Auto baking is pretty cool simply because anything that's an attribute can be set right out of Grasshopper...including plot width, linetypes, and baking to paper space :)
Very nice example.
As Andy requested, added new definition to bake also into specific layers, with colors, using lineweights and wire densities (and still with a unique or sequential name). All fields are optional.
