hii ivan. I'm trying to make patterns as your white voronoi patterns. can you help me please?

Very nice examples! How were they rendered? Real-time?

Thanks a lot Daniel for the explaination !
Ivan having tested both Kangaroo and Geometry Gym's mesh relaxation,
could you describe the specificities of both tools ?
cheers!

Wow!

thx

exactly, i like the bouncing very much, it also gives you the feeling that the thing bends and twists only to perform the best form for his master :)

hopefully the new release will come soon, i cant't wait to test the self-organisation (distribution) examples

Very funky!

To respond to Arthur's question - it wobbles because the particles have momentum like a real dynamic physical system. Without any damping, the total energy would remain constant and just keep being converted back and forth between elastic potential and kinetic energy indefinitely. As energy is dissipated through friction the oscillations decrease and the system settles into the lowest (local) potential energy configuration.

In the upcoming release of Kangaroo I have added an option to use only the force, without momentum effects (which effectively means the system always behaves as though it is critically damped). Using this the structure just moves directly to the equilibrium position, without all the bouncing around (though I think this animation shows how nice that bouncing can sometimes be!)

Fantastic!! Any chance of posting one of the definition ? :)
Would you know why the mesh is wobbling before settling into its minimal area ?
