algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey!

For my final project i'm trying to form a geometric 3d lattice that populates a mesh that I set, it gets its thickness according to the distance from a curve (thicker as it gets closer), and eventually get one closed mesh for 3d printing.
Tried to implement it in a few ways:

(1) IntraLattice plugin - that is pretty much what I'm trying to get but it gets crazy when I apply it on a mesh. Also tried making a square shaped lattice and then get the intersection with my mesh - didn't work.. 

(2) Model a cell of the lattice with lines and pipe it according to the distance - I get thousands of meshes that wouldn't unite (and for some reason all intersections appear as it subtracted in the 3d printing slicer).

I tried plenty of plugins and still don't have a solution.
