Grouping curves - data tree structure confusion

Hello I am struggling to group couple of curves in my paper waffle structure. Below in attached image you can see two set of curves. type 1, curves 3 number and then intersection curves of each of these three ribs as curves 2. I am struggling to get 3 group of curves as shown in image 2. Please reply because even after analysing their data trees I am confused on how to produce such result.
