Importing Python serial library in to GHpython

Hello all,

I am an Architectural student and beginner in python scripting. I am creating a machine for my school project, for which I use Arduino UNO with GRBL shield to control three stepper motors.

I got some reference from online to control the motors with standalone python component using Vpython and importing pyserial lib in to that. Now I am trying to bring that standalone python component script to grasshopper in order to control the machine based on the shapes I am feeding in. The problem I am facing in grasshopper is,

The python script uses python serial library to access the arduino board, how can I import that in to GHpython.
After doing that the output comes as G-Code how can I connect that with the Arduino Board with specified port

I lately became aware that firefly component does all these things with Quadstepper component in grasshopper with ease but it was too late since i bought Gshield which doesnt go well with firefly.

I have attached the python component along with this post. Your help is greatly appreciated.
