Increase rows and columns of grid on surface

Hi guys,

Thanks in advance. I'm a grasshopper novice who took an Intro to Grasshopper course with Andres Gonzales earlier this month. I am set up a grid such that it exists on the same plane as a flat or curved surface. I would like to rotate the grid, while still covering the entire surface. I have tried numerous things but haven't been able to solve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. See the images and definitions in the attachment. Thank you!
