Honey Comb half elipsoid

Hello! I am a beginner with Grasshopper, and i stuck for the moment with this problem.

I need to create a half ellipsoid surface with a honeycomb structure, feel ( i need it to be smooth and have hexagon punch outs that are placed nicely like it is a honey comb)

Using basic paneling tutorials i hoped to reach my goal.

Initially i created the ellipsoid and cut it in half used its surface in grasshopper.

When i set the surface it looks OK but when i use the isotrim box tu check it shows the full ellipsoid divided also later when adding the surface box and box morph, it goes wrong.

Please bare with me, perhaps this is a minor problem, but for me it is a mystery so far.

perhaps a different workflow would be better, or a different approach, or surface definition.
