Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, Everybody!

First off - Daniel, thank you for this amazing add-on, I really could not believe someone had dug into the topic this much when I stumbled upon Kangaroo!

Recently I've been trying to apply the origami planar patterns to a cylindrical mesh in search for a cylindrical origami pattern.
I'm writing in relation to some problems I've been experiencing with angles and symmetry.

I figured it would be easier to start off with a linear pattern moving around a circular path (easy to unfold afterwards) rather than starting with a plane and trying to get a perfect circular curvature.

My problem is that all of the mountain angles perform as expected, except the lines that lie on the x-axis (or are parallel to it) of the drawing.

I think it has something to do with angles and them not being calculated properly for all the radial angles of the folds. I  confess I can't really understand how angles are calculated in the Kangaroo component..

It would be of great help if you could show me the right way to make it develop in radial symmetry!

Thanks in advance!
