Self collision with a 3d mesh - under wind conditions

Hello,

I am currently trying to simulate a 3d mesh under the effects of wind with kangaroo, so far I have managed this but I cant seem to make the mesh self collide.

I have attempted using sphere collide using the mesh vertices as the points for spheres as well as trying to use PLaw, unfortunately with both I seem to not be able to achieve this result. 

The result I am trying to achieve is something similar to the image below. This test did not collide but that was due to capturing the bake at the correct time, afterwards it did collide.

I have attached my current. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
