Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I`m still pretty new to GH, but here is what I want to do.

Instead of a regular grid, I want to set a 3D mesh as the grid in which the attractor points work. But actually not the whole mesh, but just the certain part of it where all the attractor points are located.

The function of the attractors shall be reversed, so the density of the objects increases the closer they are located to the attractor point. Instead of the circles used in the other examples I want pipes to be the attracted objects.

This is how far I got with tutorials and the help of friends, but I can`t find any tutorial treating exactly this topic.

Thanks for your help!

Hello Kathik,

You can use Nudibranch to experiment with different distance based operations. Its pretty straightforward, but let me know if you have any specific question.

Btw are you one of my student's at the institute?

Best,

M.

Hey Marios,

thank you for your quick reply. I will try with Nudibranch the next days and let you know, if questions come up.

I am indirectly as I am doing a course at the instituet, but I`m working in a different group.

Regards,

Kathi

Cool,

Let me know.

M.
