Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi David,

Was looking through the posts however have not found this so far.

I need to get an instance of the existing block and extract predefined type of the geometry - curves. Means if object is Invalid or is of different type - it should not be read.

Have found this sample code from the example page:

http://wiki.mcneel.com/developer/rhinocommonsamples/instancedefinit...

However what would be the easiest way to implement it in Grasshopper?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Dmitriy

Ok,

After carrying some experiments I have found the easiest solution which is working.

Basically ID parameter should be an input. Just when getting ID - click on the block.

Output depends on what kind of geometry do you want, in my case it is curve object.

However, I kindly ask you David to check and say if I am not getting in troubles using this approach.

GH file is in the enclosure.

Thanks.

Dmitriy
