Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

With great help from the forum I have been working on a script that allows me to find the center point of each rooftop. Seems to have worked great with the exception of 3 volumes, and I'm not sure why? Is it because they're not square enough in shape? The point doesn't even need to be centralized really, but I'm surprised not to have any at all. Any pointers would be really helpful.

Thanks!

I think you did find them, they're just not on top of your buildings due to do the shape of the buildings.

I've circled the points that will probably be the center points of the rooftops.

Hey Tash,

Aera is a mass propertie component and the area centroid can be outside of a given surface. Your file is working correct. If you are only up to any point you can use the populate geometrie component.

Reinier - thanks for that, I couldn't see them before. That eases some of the confusion!

DeDackel - that worked perfectly, thanks ever so much
