algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi.
I think that I should be able to solve my problem using Panelling tools, but I do not know how to.
I am creating a 3-axis grid of lines:
Then I extract the intersection points:
So can I somehow create these panels? The order of these points can either be as one big list or a datatree with the points grouped along the curve it belong to. But I do not know what structure is needed to do the panelling.
In the end, what I really want to use this for, is to panelize this kind of 3d shape/grid.
Does anybody know how I can create these hexagon and triangle pattern?
Thanks
Rasmus

Hi Ramus,
Yes, you can do that in PanelingTools, but the pattern needs to be organized differently.
PT is based on rectangular grids. You'll need a dense grid then connect the points that generate the patterns that you are after.
Here is an example of how you can do it using PanelingTools for Rhino. I'll put together a definition for you in GH if you need me to:
Hi Rajaa.
Thanks a lot. But this will only work in plane right? And then transfrom it in space? I will give it a go, if you have time a definition would definitely be nice. I haven't used PT in Rhino, so I am not quit sure what the corresponding would be in GH :)
Best regards Rasmus
