algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there anyway to utilize the boxMorph/surfaceMorph components with just a set of points in order to propagate a component on a surface?

I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

I'm not sure if i follow. You want to propagate points on a surface using the morph component? This is entirely possible. The only problem is that if you want to propagate a list of points, you'll have to either set the morph component as cross-reference or place a graft component between the point list and the geometry input of the morph component.
Although I'm almost certain this isn't really what you are asking for since you have the world 'point grid' in the title.

I wanted to be able to propagate a component without having to divide a surface by UV.

Those are pretty sweet smiley faces though!

That will be useful in the future, though, I'm sure.

I ended up just using the twisted box.
