Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Minor incremental updates to the April 30th release.

This release is still lacking functionality that was available in 0.6 so do not download it if you require grasshopper professionally and/or do not know/want to know how to revert to previous versions.

Fast release :)

What's new?
Not much. Dozen or so small bugs fixed. String Trimming component. A very old bug with output data overwriting previous cycles that nobody found in over 6 months...

Would have been out much sooner if I hadn't been in a middle of a workshop cycle.

It seems I've lost my Weaverbird, Firefly, etc. assemblies. Is there a way to have these survive new GH installs? Are they still there, but somewhere that I've not looked?
Hi Chris,

settings shouldn't be touched by the installer, so if they change between version there something else going on, but none of these will load anyway in 0.7 as the SDK has changed.

However, the installer might empty out the Components folder entirely, so anything added to that will disappear. I'll have a look at fixing this.

Also, I see Galapagos in the components folder, but can't find anything about it in Grasshopper while running.
I believe it's a good thing for now if the installer deletes third-party assemblies - this because none of the good old assemblies for Gh 0.6.0059 are still functional... Personally, I'll do some work and release an updated WeaverBird in some time.

Great!!loveing WB!!
Galapagos is hidden on purpose. I don't think it's quite ready yet for a public release. It's part of the install cycle, but out of reach for regular use.

Bug: Panels don't retain spaces after reopening. The only character in the panel is a space or multiple spaces, these are inputs to the replace string component and have to be set each time I reopen the file. They also don't retain the space character when copying.
Thanks Danny, I'll fix it asap.

david:

do you have workshop on chicago or china anytime soon?
Nope, nothing scheduled. I might go the US in autumn, but even that is fairly uncertain.
