Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,
I am pretty new to Grasshopper, but i am trying to use VB.net script in a project at school...
I am creating an amount of points randomly placed.
What i want is that the still are being placed randomly, but i want them to be attracted to some other points... So the majority of points will go near the points picked by me...

Is this posible with VB.nat?

Thx!

To see what errors you are getting out you can attach a text Panel to the out connector on the VB.net panel.

Attached is a working definition. You just need to add a few attractor points in rhino.

It works now... Very well actually... But i was wondering if it might be possible to define the number of point with a slider and then change the "seed of random" instead of os onlye using one slider for both?

Hi David I'v been trying to use your VB script to make this definition I couldn't get it to work I know its been a long time since  you posted this but is there anyway  you could recreate this definition?

Can you maybe send me the file, i have som trouble downloading the file... My mail is esbencn@gmail.com - thx! :)
Just found out what was wrong with mine... I updated my grasshopper, and then it worked...
I've been attempting to reverse the proximity effect - less points near the attractor(s), more points farther away, but without any solution. I've dug into the VB component, but still can't figure out how to reverse it. Any hints?
