Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I have a bunch of spheres where I have measured the distance between the center point of the spheres and a point floating in space. What I would like to do is color code the spheres based on their distance to the floating point. I am using the 'Larger Than' and 'Smaller Than' components to evaluate my list and give me a true or false response depending on which interval the distance falls in between. I am stuck here - I don't know how to translate the true or false information to the 'Gradient' component and then translate that information back to the spheres. I am hoping someone can help me out with this.

Thanks!

Andrea

Hi.

You don't have to use gradient component.

Hello.

You can also use the gradient component directly with the distance, like this :

I hope it helps !

Hi FRiou,

I am trying to colour spheres based on their radius and I think your method would be perfect but I am not sure what the "blurry" component you are showing is. Could you please help?

Cheers,

Luisa

Hi Luisa,

The "blurry" component is the Cloud Display component that allows you to visualize points as small spheres.

You can find it in the 'Display' section.

Awesome - these solutions work brilliantly! Thank you guys so much!
