Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all, I'm trying to work out this loft that splits like a tree branch. The three ends I'd like to be square, but towards the middle of the crotch, I'd like it too smooth out/interpolate. Please see the sketch. Thanks!

With [Loft] in Rhino/GH you can interpolate between square-curve-square, but you cannot interpolate between square-curve-two squares.
I have only seen geometric solutions to this, which are often problematic. The idea is to make the trunk and the node (where three trunks unite) separately, where the node is a composition of several surfaces, usually one or two per output trunk.

Does anyone else have any ideas on how this might be done? Please and thank you!

Perhaps this will help - it's simple except for how you have to connect the individual curves to the Loft function. The numbers show the correct order.
