Distance between point and brep? (responsive surfaces)

Hello all, I'm a grasshopper newbie. Been learning the program for a whopping 5 days now, so please forgive me for my lack of knowledge for terminology. I am following a tutorial for a responsive surface, and currently have the responsive surface happening between the polygon center and a self-selected point in rhino (the moving element that makes the surface "responsive").


I would ideally like to have an object (brep) serve the role that this floating point is, but when I attempted to insert a brep parameter with the point, I got an error message.

Anybody have any idea is this can be  achieved? Attached I have a screenshot of the script, the script, and the rhino file it's associated with.

Hi.

"Brep" input is not possible to "Point" parameter. There is independent parameter for "Brep"(Params-->Brep).

And you can use "Brep Closest Pt" for measuring the distance between selected brep and the centroid of facade panels.
