parametric anchor points in kangaroo tensile mesh, help!

hi there,

I am trying to create moveable anchor points in kangaroo to create a mesh like this one.

Hosmer_SS_NMod_1Hoop1SqrPull_Comp.jpg

it is a mesh stretched between two editable curves that is also anchored by specific points in the middle of the mesh.

I can isolate a point in the mesh, and use it as an anchor point, but I am having trouble moving it parametrically.

This works,

But his does not.

Any ideas? I've been watching all the kangaroo tutorials and haven't found any examples of this where the mesh is based off a tubular loft.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thx

Hi Stuart,

I updated your definition to use K2.

For the moving anchor, an easy way to do this is to create an anchor at your target point, and make a strong zero length spring between this anchor and the point of the mesh which you want to fix there.

I might also add a 'PullToPoint' component in the next release to make this easier.

Thanks Daniel,

I am grateful for your help with this one, I'll try and brush up on my K2, still a learning curve here for me. Really love kangaroo though, great work on this.

Stuart
