Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone!

I'm kinda new in using grasshopper, this could be a silly question

I'm trying to divide some curves in 2 parts using points obteined intersecting them with the xy plane, in order to obtain 2 separeted lists

Hope someone can help me, thanks a lot!

Thanks Leela!

Yes, that's what i'm trying to do, but i just can't make it work :/

I can't understand the reason why i get 2 curves when i intersect my brep with the plan

I should get only 1 closed curve, right?

Hi Simone,

You rotated a FULL profile 360 degrees

Thanks a lot, it makes more sense now.

But still i have a problem: when i intersect the brep with an offset plane, i should always get a closed curve; but this happens only if the offset distance is <0.31

If i go over that value, i only get half of the curve

Any idea of the reason why?

This requires some tests. In the mean time get a new version (added some things more for fun and a way to get always the "right side" curve segments). But fact is that some strange/unexpected results occur (Sec, PCX components).

Alas ... I'm not a mirage: In fact I work with him (but it's rather hard as nails).

Indeed : Leia(his daughter) != Leela(his partner) :-))
