Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, i dont know how to describe the Problem better than in the Topic ;)

What i am having here is a list of 1200 points, some of them are very close (see screenshot) - representing a waterflow in terrain - others further away from each other. is there any way to create a polyline representing very dense points (see screenshot?)

Any idea would be great! Thank you so much!

Hi Froelich,

One can iterate through all points and check for the distances between them and a single starting point. The closest one will be taken as the next point of the polyline.
But this process will probably not be automatic (finding your flow lines in one component run), an will probably require a couple of manual runs.

Where do these points come from?
There are a couple of grasshopper components which are able to perform water flow analysis. With results being curves/polylines instead of points. You can check some of them.
