Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

i have two rhino curves forming a kind of a curved lens shape.
now i want to poputale the space between them with circles tangent to these two curves. the third tangent parameter for each circle comes from the previously created circle. i already created a definition for it but it gets very crowded, as i have to generate a new cluster to perform the discibes operation for each circle. is there a possibility to repeat the circle creation as kind of a loop or iterative process.
a plugin maybe? i have no programming skills, but i guess it could be done with a C# or VB script component.

the second, very similar problem is also in my grasshopper definition (the yellow group), it generates smaller circles to fill the gaps between the large circles and the borders. here it wouls also be nice to have a simpler solution as described previously.

any help appreciated

Peacock has a good algorithm of circles between two curves in the [Gems By 2 Curves] component. I think that will be enough for what you want.

hello daniel,

thanks for the quick response. i will download peacock, try it and feedback. the screenshots look good so far.

as a matter of principle i am still interested in a native gh-solution for the loop problem ...

hello daniel,

peacock is really great! and has a lot of useful tools. i will do the first part of my problem with it.

at the first glance, i found no solution for the second problem, the small circles (pips) at the borders.

is there a tool for this in your collection?

if not, i think i can do a workaround in gh ...

thanks again

roberto
