Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I'm a beginner at GH and would like some advice from you guys.

I need help with piping curve lines from thick to thin.

I also want to be able to control the gradual thickness with a slider.

Cracked rhino version bad bad !!

A slider outputs just one value
I assume you have a list of curves you will need range to generate values from 0 to 1
You need List length to count the curves for range component
You will need domain if you want radius different from 0 to 1
And 2 sliders to define min max of domain
Curve component to bring curve to
And pipe component

Hi,

Yeah sorry about that. I don't have the money to purchase the full version just yet, but would love to.

Thanks for the advice i will try it out.

Hello,

here are some way of doing, you have to know that range generate X+1 values so I have to put X-1 in the component or in a formula outside to generate the good number of radius.

On a last example I put a graph mapper, I think you will understand.

I simplify your curves because I didn't want to wait too long, but it is not mandatory

Other advice read grasshopper primer

and do the examples.

For the Rhino, as it is written corporate it means it is cracked, corporate isn't sell. I hope you will have money and you will find that Rhino is worth the money. You can earn money with it, it costs the price of a smartphone but lasts a  lot more.

Hi,

For the Rhino, i understand your point. Thanks. I do find it very useful software but as of right now i'd just graduated and still earning is very low. I will definitely buy it for sure.

As for the the advice on the GH, thank you very much. Really appreciate your help. I will continue to learn more and more about Rhino and GH.

Thanks Laurent!
