Creating multiple rectangles according to list length

Hi everyone,

I am using Galapagos to find an optimum condition for a set of rectangles. The quantity of rectangles varies according to the length of a list.

For Galapagos to be effective I require the XY cords of the rectangle origin, as well as the XY size of the rectangle to be variable (image attached).

If for example my list contains 10 items, is there a way to make the same number of rectangles, each with their own unique XY cords and XY sizes so that Galapagos can check and modify each rectangle for a combined optimum solution.

Or do I need to make 10 items manually and merge them? If for example my list contains 200 items, I would hope to be able to automate the process of making rectangles.

Thanks.

The Gene Pool object is basically a set of sliders that can be used in Galapagos. It's not necessarily the best fit for you, but it saves you from manually adding a lot of sliders.

Hi David,

Thank you for the reply.

It works great with the Gene Pool, set to the number of items required.

Thank you!
