algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi 

 I am currently try to make my design into a physical model and experiencing difficulties in making a script that will generate a cross shape interlocking orthogonal joinery, can anyone advice how can i start dividing this?

You need to use the components "box slits" or "region slits", which can be found in the intersect category of grasshopper.

how do i adjust the width of the slot with box slits, since i am planing to cut the model with mdf that has the same thickness

It figures out which boxes/regions intersect and it creates the slits for you. However if you have two boxes that are supposed to slide all the way until their ends are co-planar, then the component doesn't which box should be cut using fashion A and which with fashion B, so in those cases you may end up with the opposite slits you'd like to get.

Originally , i made a script myself and the height of the field is influenced by a RGB map , and the sizing of the individual field is influenced by a network of circulation instead of a point attractor, is it possible to integrate the fabrication part of your script to this
