algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm trying to make a transparent sphere with 3D radial gradient such as the center is yellow and outside is red. I have no idea how to set the parameters of gradient.

Also, I want to bake the sphere (not custom preview) into the Rhino.

Please, Help!

Hello Jeongun,

I think for Rhino and GH, a sphere is like a ping pong ball : an outside shell with nothing inside...

So you can't place a gradient on "nothing".

The only option I can think of is to represent your sphere with a cut (like those used by teachers to show  what's inside the Earth) and apply a gradient on those faces. But I'm not sure this is what you're looking for.

Hi! FRiou,

Your suggestion seems cool! It is much easier way. I'll try it.

Thank you

You mean something like this..??

I don't know what exactly you want..

Thank you! Jissi

This is what I wanted to make!

But there is one another problem. I want to bake that sphere and modify it in Rhino. I don't know how to transform that preview into real rhino structure. Do you have any suggestion?

Please check this discussion.. and refer to the last comment..

You have to know about material..
