Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

Really quite new to Grasshopper and I recently wanted to create a similar effect to these images I have found online for rendering with a sub polygon displacement with Cinema 4d. This is done completely through rendering in the program, but I wanted to do this through grasshopper and I thought using an image sampler component might work. Generally looking for some direction on how to implement this effect.

Hi Rafaie,

You have to download WeaverBird and 4d Noise.

Make a mesh sphere and extrude points
according to their normals with a simplex/perlin value.

Thank you so much, this is really helpful! I have heard about this effect of smoothing edges with weaverbird and have never tried it before. I will be sure to go through the definition and learn about its effects.
