algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all!

I have created a script in order to simulate the movement of the spirograph toy, which creates epitrochoid and hypotrochoid curves.

It's basically a circle which rotates around a fixed circle, and at the same time rotates around its center, while tracking a point within its perimeter.

I am trying to experiment by applying the same transformations in spheres instead of circles, but I can't achieve the rotation around the fixed sphere - only the one around its center.

Any ideas?

Hello Maria

You just need to specify the axis of rotation, for example a y unit vector, otherwise by default it rotates around a vertical which doesn't make any difference.
